To the Editor.  —Dr. Suie is perfectly correct! The third from last sentence in the first paragraph of our article should have been "they reported the isolation of Histoplasma capsulatum from the gum of a patient with panophthalmitis" and not "they reported the isolation of H capsulatum from the eye of a patient with panophthalmitis." Having read the article by Hoefnagels and Pijers many times, we are at a loss to explain how the error crept into our manuscript. It always amazes me that no matter how many times one proofreads a paper errors still persist.
