Abstract

A scleral supporter made of fine flexible stainless steel wire was designed to prevent collapse of the eye during vitreous surgery. It is moldable and can be used in any type of intraocular surgery in which collapse of the eye is anticipated. It differs from other scleral supporters in its increased flexibility and versatility.
