Cystinosis, being a rare metabolic disease, has been sporadically described in the literature. The classification, histopathological findings, and treatment of this disease are often confusing if not contradictory. This report describes a case of "adolescent" cystinosis with an attempt to clarify the classification, clinical histopathological findings, and treatment of this entity.
