One expects a great deal from a book authored by Drs Lester Jones and John Wobig and dedicated to the memory of Dr Marvin Quickert. This book certainly lives up to those expectations. A lifetime of Dr Jones's careful anatomical work, with its clinical correlations combined with the meticulous surgical technique of Dr Wobig creates a book that is applicable to all levels of training and degrees of sophistication with lacrimal and eyelid surgery. The anatomical sections of this book condense Dr Lester Jones' many descriptions of anatomical dissections of the orbit, lacrimal system, and eyelids in a manner that can be easily correlated with the excellent discussion of the physiology of each of these areas which follows. The physiology of each area is followed with clinical examples of pathological processes. The surgical or medical management of these disease states is then presented with careful detail.
