This is a most useful reference book which lists in a tabular form the numerous drugs that have a toxic effect on the eye. An appendix of ocular signs and symptoms lists the various drugs producing specific side effects. It is remarkable that, eg, an increase in intraocular pressure may be produced by more than 50 drugs! For all drugs, the various proprietary names in different countries are also listed. Bibliography and index are excellent.
All in all, this is a most comprehensive evaluation and listing of ocular side effects and drug interactions. This book should be extremely helpful to every ophthalmologist.
