The second edition of the programmed text is again designed to teach the necessary vocabulary and the rudiments of strabismus. Programmed instruction is the basis of this textbook. The text is based on building a structure of information in a logical fashion. It prepares the students by giving them the basic vocabulary and the tools that are important for the management of strabismus. After completing this text, the student is ready for more controversial aspects in strabismus, including differential diagnosis and treatment. The book is an excellent introduction into the field of ocular motility.
This book is recommended for every resident in ophthalmology as an introductory textbook. It provides a good review for the Board examination.
