This book contains the papers presented at the Drug Symposium of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology in Las Vegas, 1976.
The first paper is by the invited foreign guest, Dr S. Mishima from Tokyo. His topic was clinical implications of prostaglandins and synthesis inhibitors. Another survey paper is by Dr I. H. Leopold, who, for a long time, was the guiding light of these symposia. Other topics cover the chronic toxicity of local anesthetics on the cornea, the effect of intraocular irrigating solutions on the cornea, and various other aspects of ocular pharmacology of timely interest and importance.
These symposia have always been extremely popular and well attended. They bring us up-to-date in the recent developments of ocular therapeutics. The publication of the monographs has now been taken up by the Wiley Medical Publication Company. In the near future, however, these
