Indocyanine Green: A New Vital Stain For Use Before Penetrating Keratoplasty

• Indocyanine green selectively stains devitalized corneal endothelial cells. In addition, the dye has been found to be nontoxic to the function of living endothelial cells. Indocyanine green appears to be an ideal vital stain for use before peneing keratoplasty.
