Abstract

This book is the result of the International Congress of Ergophthalmology, which took place in Stockholm in 1977. It is a manual intended not only for ophthalmologists but also for industrial hygienists, medical officers in industry, and persons involved in visual environments. Most of the contributors come from Europe, but four are from the United States.

The contents cover nonionizing radiation, chemical burns, mechanical injuries, and vision requirements at work.

This is an excellent summary of the present knowledge and problems of ergophthalmology and anyone interested should obtain this book.
