Drs Callahan and Callahan have combined their experience, efforts, and expertise to provide an outstanding book on ophthalmic plastic and orbital surgery. The book begins with a chapter on fundamentals in which the pertinent anatomy and basic surgical techniques involved in ophthalmic plastic surgery are outlined. In the following chapters, the major topics of ophthalmic plastic surgery are discussed. The procedures that the Callahans have found most useful are presented in sufficient detail with warnings on the various complications and their solutions. It is impossible for a book of this size to discuss all useful procedures for the numerous ophthalmic plastic surgery problems. The Callahans present those techniques with which they have had considerable experience and which they found to be most useful.
The illustrations are superb and Craig Luce is to be congratulated for his fine work.
Another strong point of this book is the authors' candid description of
