Appointements.  —Three new members were appointed to the National Advisory Eye Council of the National Eye Institute: Frederick C. Blodi, MD, professor and head, Department of Ophthalmology, University of Iowa; J. M. Enoch, PhD, dean of the School of Optometry, University of California, Berkeley; and Gordon Gund. Mr Gund is a leader in corporate finance and a victim of retinitis pigmentosa.

Congress.  —The seventh congress of the International Society of Geographic Ophthalmology will be conducted Nov 7-10, 1982, in Asilomar, Calif, after the International Congress of Ophthalmology in San Francisco.
