—In the article entitled "Cataracts and Macular Degeneration in Older Americans," published in the April Archives (1982;100:571-573), the abstract contained an incorrect word. The word "incidence" should have been "prevalence." On page 571, in the abstract, the sentence beginning on the third line should have read: "In the Health and Nutrition Examination Survey, the prevalence of cataracts for persons aged 45 to 64 years was as follows: white men, 5.6%; white women, 2.1%; black men, 8.3%; and black women, 8.5%."
