This book provides an expanded record of the papers presented at the Third International Symposium of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery of the Eye and Adnexa that took place at the Manhattan Eye, Ear, and Throat Hospital, in New York, in 1980. This multidisciplinary meeting had presentations by a number of specialists in this area. The papers are well written and contain useful information; the book is well edited and divided into sections on the various aspects of oculoplastic and orbital surgery. The papers, which have been organized into chapters, are, in general, a presentation of well accepted and previously described techniques in various areas. However, there are a few papers on new concepts and techniques in this subspeciality area. The book is recommended for those surgeons at a level of resident or above with an interest in this area.
