—Werner K. Noell, MD, professor of ophthalmology and adjunct professor of physiology at the University of Kansas, Kansas City, received the seventh Award of Merit in Retina Research at the annual meeting of the Retina Society in Detroit on Sept 14, 1984.The award, a $50,000 prize to assist in the recipient's ongoing research, is provided by the Retina Research Foundation of Houston and was presented by Alice McPherson, MD.
