Retrobulbar Block

Arch Ophthalmol. 1986;104(1):22. doi:10.1001/archopht.1986.01050130026005

To the Editor.  —In reference to the letter to the editor by Dr Elsie F. Meyers in the September 1985 Archives, concerning a case of suspected brain-stem anesthesia following retrobulbar block, we have prevented complications from retrobulbar block by using a 25-gauge 1.3-cm needle instead of a 3.81-cm needle. The anesthetic result is excellent.
