To the Editor.
—I read with great interest the article by Robert S. Hammond, OD, and Paulette P. Schmidt, OD, MS, entitled "A Random Dot E Stereogram for the Vision Screening of Children," that appeared in the Archives.1 I would like to point out that random dot stereopsis may coexist with a large amount of aniseikonia2 as well as with amblyopia.3 The validity of random dot stereograms for screening of amblyopia seems, therefore, questionable.
