Eye Care for Children: Guidelines is a concise manual that offers guidelines for the routine examination of children's eyes. Specific information to understand and care for common problems in pediatric ophthalmology is also provided. Specific guidelines for the management of ocular malformations, refractive errors, strabismus, amblyopia, trauma, corneal disease, cataracts, glaucoma, and other areas are included.
Appendixes providing useful information about screening, normal visual function, newborn ocular prophylaxis against ophthalmia neonatorum, and causes of blindness are included.
This manual should be extremely useful to persons involved with screening programs, both in creating such programs and conducting them satisfactorily. It is also useful as a concise source of information about many childhood eye problems.
"This manual should be extremely useful to persons involved with screening programs, both in creating such programs and conducting them satisfactorily."
I was disappointed with how little emphasis is given to the screening and routine eye care
