—We read with interest Dr Miyake's letter addressing our article on X-linked congenital stationary night blindness. We have reviewed our scotopic intensity series and we find no evidence of a positive electroretinogram in the patient he discusses. Further evidence of this, as noted in our Table 2,1 is that the b-wave/a-wave amplitude ratio for this patient which was less than 0.4. If case IV-2 is considered by Dr Miyake to be an incomplete type, then the distinction between complete and incomplete does not appear to be a very discrete one.
