Knights Templar Grants Announced. The Knights Templar Eye Foundation (KTEF) has announced grants of up to $20 000 for 1 year for young investigators in the field of pediatric ophthalmology or developmental biology of the eye. Research related to pediatric ophthalmology has been a major focus of the KTEF. It is the KTEF's intention that these young investigators will accumulate pilot data as a basis for future National Institutes of Health applications.
Arnall Patz Distinguished Professorship Dedicated, Ruben Adler, MD, Inaugural Professor. The Wilmer Ophthalmological Institute in Baltimore, Md, dedicated the Arnall Patz Distinguished Professorship in Ophthalmology on April 29, 1993. Dr Patz, a leader in the advancement of retinal research for more than four decades, served as the William Holland Wilmer Professor and Director of the Wilmer Institute from 1979 to 1989. He assumed the Presidency of the American Academy of Ophthalmology in 1987 and continues his active leadership
