We all need to keep in mind that the important measure of zinc intake is the actual amount of elemental zinc and not the milligrams of a particular zinc salt. It is also worth noting, as is implied in our previous communications and in his letter, that zinc does not act alone but is one part of a complex trace element antioxidant system necessary for maintenance of normal tissue integrity and vision.
