Seven New Faculty Members Announced. Seven new faculty members have joined the Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences at the University of Wisconsin Medical School in Madison: Neal P. Barney, MD, is a specialist in cornea and external disease, including ocular immunology and uveitis. Dr Barney received his medical degree from Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio. He completed his residency training at the Kresge Eye Institute in Detroit, Mich, and fellowships in ocular immunology and uveitis and cornea and external disease at the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary in Boston. He joined his present department in July 1992.
Frederick S. Brightbill, MD, is a specialist in the cornea, external disease, and refractive surgery. Dr Brightbill will head several new projects at the department, including an excimer laser program and instruction in refractive surgery techniques, including radial keratotomy.
