Angela F. Perry, MD, Appointed Assistant Professor.  Angela F. Perry, MD, has been appointed assistant professor of ophthalmology and director of the Eye Plastic and Orbital Surgery Service at the University of Maryland at Baltimore, effective August 1, 1994. Dr Perry completed her ophthalmology residency at Howard University in Washington, DC.She then completed a 2-year fellowship in eye plastic and orbital surgery at the W. K. Kellogg Eye Center in Ann Arbor, Mich.

Grants Awarded by Research to Prevent Blindness.  Research to Prevent Blindness (RPB), New York, NY, a voluntary organization supporting eye research, has awarded 88 grants in 1994 for research into the causes, treatment, and prevention of all blinding diseases. The total grant expenditures for the year exceeded $8.49 million. The RPB awards include unrestricted eye research grants to 71 departments of ophthalmology at US medical schools.
