Abstract

Because of a printer output problem, an error occurred in the setting of a special symbol in the Clinical Sciences article titled "Vitrectomy for the Treatment of Full-Thickness Stage 3 or 4 Macular Holes: Results of a Multicentered Randomized Clinical Trial," published in the January Archives (1997;115:11-21). The error occurred in Table 5 and its accompanying legend (page 17). The special symbols next to the second cut-in center head, "Vision Outcomes," in Table 5 should have been a section mark (§) and a parallels mark (∥). The special symbol next to the fifth legend should have been a parallels mark (∥). The center head and the legend are reprinted correctly here.

Visual Outcomes§∥

∥The unadjusted and adjusted changes from baseline are given for each variable. The unadjusted change from baseline is the absolute difference between 6-month visual acuity and baseline visual acuity. The adjusted change is the absolute difference adjusted
