Error in Introduction Section

JAMA Ophthalmol. 2018;136(12):1432. doi:10.1001/jamaophthalmol.2018.5033

In the article titled “Disparities in Low-Vision Device Use Among Older US Medicare Recipients,”1 there was an error in the Introduction section. The third paragraph states, “However, the purpose of low-vision devices, to improve independence in activities of daily living, is identical to that of other assistive equipment that is covered under Medicaid for individuals with other disabilities…” but it should instead state, “However, the purpose of low-vision devices, to improve independence in activities of daily living, is identical to that of other assistive equipment that is covered under Medicare for individuals with other disabilities…”
