Abstract

To the reviewer this work superbly fills a need in its particular field. Not being familiar with the first edition, he cannot mention the emendations and additions made. Suffice it to say that it covers completely the normal and pathological radiologic appearance of all areas of the nasopharynx, oropharynx, hypopharynx, larynx, and the subglottic region.

Each radiograph, every one of which shows remarkable definition, is accompanied by a clearcut diagrammatic line drawing showing the normal anatomy or the exact location and extent of a neoplasm—and it would be difficult to mention a type or location not mentioned.

The text throughout is terse and held to a minimum. The descriptions of the illustrations are definitive; the illustrations themselves so clearly describe the figures that a lack of facility in reading French should be no bar to a complete understanding of their meaning by the American laryngologist.
