To the Editor An omission in authorship was made in error in the Observation published in JAMA Otolaryngology–Head & Neck Surgery titled “Destructive Otologic Foreign Body: Dangers of the Expanding Bead.”1 Our colleague Jonathan Murnick, MD, PhD, was an instrumental support in identification of the foreign body in the initial patient presentation and also assisted in the selection, cropping, and figure caption preparation for this report, and drafting the manuscript. During manuscript preparation, Dr Murnick was, in error, not included as a coauthor. He has completed an authorship form and ICMJE conflict of interest disclosure form, and a correction2 has been published to fix this error. We regret this error and apologize for any confusion this may have caused.
