To the Editor We commend the authors on their adoption of a multidisciplinary clinic (MDC) for the treatment of head and neck cancers and we agree with their conclusion that the cooperative treatment of cancer patients by relevant specialties is superior to a multiappointment approach. In their study, Townsend et al1 were able to show a significant decrease in treatment delays for patients from both the time of referral and following their first appointment with the team. We have had the same experience in our own MDC.
