In Reply We would like to thank Lammers and colleagues for their interest in our meta-analysis regarding impact of additional hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) in the treatment of idiopathic sudden sensorineural hearing loss (SSNHL) patients.1 As Lammers and colleagues pointed out, we agree that the main results of our meta-analysis showed heterogeneity, and this limitation should be pointed out. Beyond the issue of heterogeneity, however, there are certainly novel and important messages that our study adds to previous evidence.
