The MRI scan revealed a 2-cm-diameter tumor with sharp margins on the corner of the mandible. The tumor was located below the masseter muscle and continued downward beside the outer surface of the mandible below it. It was positioned frontolaterally and was not connected to the submandibular salivary gland. On T2-weighted MRIs, the mass was of high signal intensity (Figure 1); on T1-weighted MRIs, it was isointense with muscle, and it enhanced intensely with gadolinium (Figure 2).
