Myoepithelioma is a rare neoplasm that accounts for fewer than 1% of all salivary gland tumors. It is a benign tumor that is composed almost exclusively of myoepithelial cells. Men and women are affected with equal frequency. The 2 most common sites of occurrence are the parotid gland (40%) and the hard and soft palates (21%), but all salivary gland sites have been involved.1
