COMBINED TONGUE DEPRESSOR AND PILLAR RETRACTORS

Arch Otolaryngol. 1931;13(5):733. doi:10.1001/archotol.1931.03660020097010
Abstract

The object of the new instruments was to combine in one instrument what ordinarily is carried out by two. There are two models. One combines in the same tongue depressor a flange on each side for retracting the pillar. The other is a combination of two tongue depressors, one serving as a handle while the other is used as a depressor. This is arranged with a flange on one side and can be used for the right or the left tonsil.
