Abstract

The fame, accomplishments and qualifications of the authors of this book are so well known and recognized by laryngologists the world over that nothing further need be said concerning their authority in presenting this textbook devoted exclusively to the larynx and its diseases. They have endeavored to supply a text which will be useful to every practitioner and student of medicine as well as to the specialist, and they have happily succeeded in their purpose. This book is not a compilation of other works but is the result of a vast amount of experience and observation of clinical work in their busy endoscopic clinic. Many interesting deductions are presented.

There are altogether 515 pages devoted to the larynx and its diseases. Eighty-six references are cited, largely from the authors' own papers and compilations, though references are freely drawn from other distinguished laryngologists. Often it was found necessary to compare their
