The author presents his comprehensive manual, now in its fifth edition. The volume totals 247 pages, and the entire format is first class. There are in all 82 figures or illustrations, which clarify the lucid text material.

All phases of thorough nursing care for the eyes, ears, nose and throat are dealt with, and especial attention is given to operative technic, the layout of instruments and the postoperative care. The ocular, aural and nasopharyngeal problems as met with by the public health nurse are adequately covered in 34 pages. The index is good.
