This is a comprehensive manual of practical audiometry. The author has attempted to evaluate the various tests for hearing, but he stresses the use of audiometers in the diagnosis of various forms of deafness. He presents a series of audiograms to illustrate the various hearing defects and their interpretations. This apparently is another addition to the already increasing number of books on this subject. Although it is thorough and the author presents the various theories and tests in a concise fashion, it does not seem to add greatly to our present knowledge on this subject. There is no index but a fair bibliography.
