The revised second edition of "The Head and Neck in Roentgen Diagnosis" should be of considerable interest to otorhinolaryngologists. The two volumes contain 2403 illustrations, all of which are oriented for clarity, simplicity, and practicability. The extensive index and running heads make it easy to locate information. Normal findings are described so that the reader can better appreciate the pathology demonstrated. The x-ray illustrations have indicators to point out the pathology under discussion. A description of the techniques of taking x-rays helps the reader better visualize what he sees in the film.
In addition to modern concepts of old diseases, the volumes contain excellent information on x-rays of the mastoids, sinuses, nose and throat, and trachea. Fractures and foreign-body location are clearly covered as well as sialography. The illustrations demonstrate the types of cases encountered in clinical practice, and should prove of great value to otolaryngologists.
