To the Editor.—The omission of Dr. Godfrey E. Arnold's article (Laryngoscope71:687, 1961) was an inadvertent and not a deliberate omission from the list of references. His excellent work has been frequently quoted by me in prior publications. Because I read Dr. Arnold's extensive thesis several years ago, I overlooked his similar proposal for using extrinsic laryngeal muscles for relief of a cricothyroid palsy. But this is all beside the point; Dr. Arnold should be given credit for proposing the idea. Please accept my apology for this error.
