The increasing recognition of tomography as an important diagnostic tool in the field of otolaryngology has certainly lead the French Society of Otolaryngology and Cervico-Facial Pathology to this new publication. The first part of the book is dedicated to the tomographic examination of the pharynx, larynx, nasopharynx, facial bones, and paranasal sinuses. The second part covers the tomographic study of the temporal bone. For each of the anatomical regions under investigation the authors review the tomographic technique and projections as well as the normal and abnormal tomographic anatomy. The text is quite short and sometimes vague in the description of the pathological findings and differential diagnosis. It contains, however, a very comprehensive review of the literature on the various topics. The book has a large number of illustrations most of them sketches. This publication, prepared by three otolaryngologists and two radiologists, is certainly highly recommended for men of both specialties.
