Abstract

Functional disorders in otorhinolaryngology either may be secondary to psychiatric conditions or may occur as part of organic otorhinolaryngologic disorders. A better understanding of the emotional problems of patients with ear, nose, and throat symptoms will contribute to a more appropriate therapeutic approach.
