Abstract

A 2½-year-old boy had bleeding from nasal and palatal varicella lesions that required hospitalization and local therapy. No coagulative defects were noted. Bleeding from the ulcer crater of a ruptured varicella lesion may result from the vasculitis that the lesion produced adjacent to its base.
