Symposium.—A Symposium on Maxillofacial Injuries will be held at the University of Iowa, Department of Otolaryngology and Maxillofacial Surgery, Nov 17 through 19, 1971. This will be followed by a Practical Workshop, Nov 19 and 20. The latter will cover suture techniques, flaps and Z-plasties, for which suitable fresh animal material will be provided. Instructions will also be given in applied dental anatomy; intermaxillary fixation will be practiced on articulated dental casts.

In addition to faculty from the University of Iowa College of Medicine, visiting professors will include Reed Dingman, DDS, MD, Ann Arbor, Mich; G. Slaughter Fitz-Hugh, MD, Charlottesville, Va; Jerome Hilger, MD, St. Paul, Minn; William W. Montgomery, MD, Boston; Paul Natvig, MD, Milwaukee, Wis, Richard Webster, MD, Brookline, Mass.

Registration will be limited, and will be on a "first-come, first-served" basis. The fee is $100 for the symposium and $175 for the symposium and practical workshop;
