Abstract

A method of correcting cicatricial obliteration of the posterior choanae and upper part of nasopharynx utilizing the sphenoid sinus cavity for (1) enlargement of the vertical diameter of choanae, (2) formation of a new roof of the nasopharynx, or even, (3) creation of a bypass of the posterior nares has been clinically helpful and has produced satisfactory results.
