Abstract

In four patients, extended orbital extirpative surgery has been successful in extending life and palliating pain without causing crippling deformity. A lateral composite facial flap and the temporalis muscle are discussed as helpful adjuncts to satisfactory exposure of the area and to immediate closure of orbital defects.
