Abstract

Epidural hemorrhage is a rare complication of otitis media. There are probably no satisfactory criteria to enable one to diagnose epidural hemorrhage preoperatively. The suspicion of intracranial complications resulting from middle ear and mastoid disease justifies surgical intervention.
