Pharyngotracheal aspiration is frequent among laryngectomized patients who have undergone surgery for vocal rehabilitation. This paper describes a technique devised specifically to overcome this complication. The operative goal has been achieved; however, a modification is suggested to improve the limited success with vocal restoration.
