Deafness Research Foundation Grants.—The Deafness Research Foundation announces that applications for research grants for the calendar year 1975 must be submitted prior to Aug 15, 1974, for consideration by the Scientific Review Committee. Grants Awarded.—The Deafness Research Foundation (DRF) has awarded 33 grants, totaling $302,000, for otological research in 14 states and Canada, it was announced by Mrs. Edward McSweeney, Chairman. The grants, representing 20 first-year awards, eight second-year renewals, and five third-year renewals, are going to 26 different institutions for medical investigations this year into the causes, potential treatment, and possible prevention of deafness.
