This book is a concise, clearly written text and atlas of tumor surgery of the head and neck as perceived by the author, who has had extensive experience and is considered an authority in this field. The surgical maturity of the author comes through very clearly in his conservative, common-sense approach to the various head and neck tumor problems. The credibility of the text is enchanced by the author's emphasis on good surgical fundamentals, which he does not clutter with adventuresome and unproven innovations. The work is particularly appropriate for residents in training, and also for the general practitioner of head and neck surgery.
