This book is one volume of a series that form a pictorial guide to surgical procedures, and it concentrates on surgery of the ear. As a guide, it is directed to surgeons in training rather than experienced practitioners.
The volume is divided into three sections that direct attention to the external ear, the middle ear and mastoid, and the inner ear and internal auditory meatus. The procedures are described in a step-wise fashion, are capably illustrated, and are introduced with a discussion of indications, contraindications, preoperative evaluations, and postoperative care.
