Abstract

This is the fifth in the series of editions of this excellent general textbook of otolaryngology which dates back to 1960. It has been and continues to be the standard of the industry of general texts of otolaryngology for medical students and general or family practitioners. It would also be very worthwhile reading for the beginning resident in otolaryngology. Nurses and physicians' assistants, as well as other practitioners of medicine, should find this updated edition an excellent reference source. For such a high-quality, hard-cover, glossy-paged publication, it is very reasonably priced at $18.50, which is well within the reach of the budgets of most medical students, family practice residents, and other practitioners early in their careers.

Very few, if any, other general textbooks of otolaryngology directed to the medical student and family practitioner meet the high quality of production, the soundness of writing, and the modesty in price of this
