This book is the most recent edition of a series that has been published almost every year since the beginning of this century. It is an effort to summarize and offer comments concerning the most important articles in otolaryngology–head and neck surgery that were published during 1981 and 1982.
The editors and their staff have prepared a brief summary of approximately 300 articles that were published before January 1983. They have added their own unique perspective to each of these summaries so that the information presented can be placed within an interpretive framework for the reader.
The book provides the reader with an excellent opportunity to review some of the most important recent information and to capture the essence of much that we must learn to remain current.
The book contains excellent illustrations, where they are needed, and avoids reiteration of unnecessary facts. The reader who wishes more of a
