Abstract

This is one of a series of comprehensive surgical atlases on otolaryngology head and neck surgery. Dr Dedo has attempted to compile and edit this atlas to provide a concise and completely illustrated description of the common procedures used in aesthetic surgery of the face and neck. Dedo is a relatively young surgeon who has become recognized for his published in-depth studies of facial aesthetic surgery clinical experience and anatomical dissections. At the end of each section, he describes his rationale for preferring one technique to another.

This is a useful approach, which the collaborating authors also use. The book discusses facelift, cosmetic blepharoplasty, oriental eyelid blepharoplasty, rejuvenation of the forehead and brow, septorhinoplasty, hair replacement and scalp reduction, otoplasty, ancillary procedures for facial rejuvenation, and cervicofacial liposuction.

The book makes extensive use of diagrams to illustrate techniques, and this makes for greater clarity than operative photographs. I found the
